Some members have a hard time finding leftist literature, or older books and some have no credit card to order over the internet. Here are some ideas.

If you have a credit card, definitely use Amazon.com where you can get used books or ask for books that are out of stock.

Use ebay to order books that are out of print or to get cheap used books.

You can use www.paypall.com to open up an internet "Bank account" as long as you have a bank account and thay way you can make payments to amazon, ebay etc.

If you don't know the title or the author or isbn number, use amazon to search for these or use www.google.com as your search engine.

Don't forget to try Amazon.fr or amazon.uk which tend to have a lot more leftist stuff and usually carry the english versions too and spanish versions.

Another great site is www.pathfinderpress.com.

Your library is obligated to order any book for you as long as there is a copy anyewhere in their system or it is still in print. Demand this service from them. Sometimes you can even put the order in online and they email you when it is in.

If you are in university or have a friend who is, university libraries or bookstores have a much better selection.

Get the details including the ISBN number from amazon then order the book at your nearest large bookstore. This way you can pay in cash.

It may be worth the ride to the nearest big city for a library that carries a lot of good stuff.

If you are desparate and willing to email your real address, I bet someone in this forum will send you a book you really want. Use the message system, not a post.

I used to have a link to a site that looked at money different books sites and would deliver the results for each to you, which was very nice. I believe I posted it here once. If anyone bookmarked it, please post it again.

For used and out-of-print books, I've gone through http://www.alibris.com, where you can often find a better price than at Amazon. Also, for those who care, http://www.powells.com/ is more worker-friendly than Amazon.
