have any of you read Animal Farm by George Orwell
if so, i have some questions
The intro in it is basically an explanation of Orwell and his work and why he wrote and all that stuff right?
and what type of government was the Farmer suppose to represent.. i got different asnwer from different people some say communism, capitalism, totalitarian dictator..... which is right if any?
and also any other info or FYI that u can give on the book

The farmers are the capitalists, in the case of the former animal farm farmer, he is supposed to represent the Tsar.

Animal Farm is supposed to mirror the Soviet Union. Many characters in it have direct parellels with the Bolshevism's main characters eg:

Jones = Tsar Nicholas
Napoleon = Lenin (at first), Stalin
Snowball = Trotsky
Boxer = proleteriat
Napoleon's dogs = the KGB
etc

And the whole book is based on what had already happened in the USSR when Orwell wrote the book (1939), and he predicted to happen in it. Watch the American cartoon of it (1950s). It completely changes the ending to make capitalism overthrow communism. Fucking propaganda...

well our history teacher said we would watch the movie once were done with the book, but its not the cartoon its the movie where they use actualy animals.

Thats a good movie but they tell out of jessies one of the dogs vison and what he thinks. I was sopposed to watch it but my English teacher kept putting it off and we eventually forgot about it.

I have read the book but I haven't seen the cartoon. How the end was changed, what happened in the cartoon?

Napoleon was never Lenin.

Old Major represents Marx and Engels, Napoleon only represents stalin.
