The role of Che in my life? ... I have read a lot about him, I often do think about that what would he do and what he would think about something. But I can't say that he is my 'everything', I do have my own life and even if he is my 'idol' then I want to live in reality, not in dreams. But I like him a lot!!!!!!!!

There is only one real complaint I have about Che Guevara and it was the fact that he killed so many informers and traitors.

He is a source of inspiration to me because Che could have easily gone back to Argentina and started a medical practice with his M.D.

But he didn't. Through his travels around South and Central America, he realized something was very wrong. Something was truly wrong with how the needs of the people were being undermined by wealthy and affluent, and all too often amerikkkan, special interests.

Did he choose the easy road? Did he choose to go home from to Argentina from his exile in Mexico to a life of comfort and ease? Did he resign himself to the idea that what he saw was just 'the way is was going to be'?

No.

And that is one of the biggest reasons why he is a hero of mine. Far too many today sit back in comfort and insist that there is nothing they can do. Che could have done that, could have gone home to Argentina and lived a long and comfortable life. But he didn't.

Che showed me that there is ALWAYS something you can do. And that abandoning the needs of the people is for fence-riding cowards, more willing to live in comfort under the rule of tyrants than fight- however they can- for the justice, equality, and dignity of all people.

There's much more, but I'll leave it at that for now.

He is a very very VERY important person in my life. He is an important role in everything I do, probably more important than anyone else.

He is the greatest. A true revolutionry, motivated by feeling of great love. Whilst I am a relative newcomer to politics, he embodies what we all fight for.

Che is a very important figure in the leftist world, to me he is probably the most important and inspirational figure. However, I would not want to be like him, his downfall was he was obsessed with his own ideology and in the end it led to his demise. I also agree with you zapata he killed far to many people within his army who merely wanted to leave or couldnt take the pressure anymore. That is heartless to me, many of them were not traitors. Anyway noone is perfect , but he definantly was a great man.

I respect Che and his activism for the cause. but I do not know what he was like... some people here idolize him...or so they say.. but I believe that u cannot idolize a person unless u know them personally.

any comments?
