Hi sovietpower01 welcome to RevLeft.:)
The government in Canada is not socialist. For the government to be socialist the workers need common ownership of the means of production. Factorys, farms, powerplants, mines, basicly everything which is not personel property like your house, car and other personel belongings. The workers owership of the means of production gives the workers owership on everything they produce. Which means they get the full value of their labour.
Not like in Canada where workers slave for capitalists, in/at the capitalist owned means of production. Making products which the capitalist own, and only get a little share in form of a wage, in compensation for the value of the product.

Funny think to put a Lenin picture on your avatar and name yourself Soviet Power... isn't that an oxymoron?

Welcome to revleft however I would like to remind you that as fun as chanting slogans is, it should often be kept to a minimum. Rally cries should be kept to rallies, everywhere else we should be spouting valid criticisms of capitalism.
Also Lenin is dead and there is no unified party to talk about. The lessons and theories of past leadership are far more important than the leaders themselves. I hope you can learn as much from this site as I have (and still am).
