1. I just bought Fifa 2001 in GAME for 98p, its fucking awsome, Zidane and Davids at Juventus.

2. When does Football Manager 2010 come out?

3. How mint will the new fifa be, and are you a fifa kid or a PES gimp?

4. Madden has classic teams available for all the clubs, how awsome would it be if Fifa had the same, I mean who wouldnt want to play at Real Madrids first awsome G team, Man Utd's 99 team or even England 1966.

Anyone who is a PES gimp now is a complete fucking idiot. FIFA 2008 was when FIFA finally became better than PES. PES now looks silly by comparison, stupidly unrealistic as well.

Someone said this on a thread about the 2010 release date (on the SI forums)
"No one knows. It's not going to be announced this early, going by other years the announcement will be made around August/September, with the game released in October/November."

PS2, I got Madden 05 today for 98p as well, I suggest you all get down to game and spend a day playing old computer games. Madden has always had the best graphics of EA sports games, years ahead of everything else in quality.

And yes PES is utter-shite, the lads I live with are all PES gimps, next term me and my mate are buyinh Fifa10 and we shall school them.

Another point (i spent all day on fifa09) Roma are the best team on that game, by far.

Killfacer

Bullshit, Roma are good no doubt but Chelsea are the best. Drogba is unstoppable.

I used to be a PES gimp but it cannot be denied that the latest 2 FIFAs are simply a cut above. I spread the message to all PES gimps to get over their PES love.

I'm coming to your house, Roma Vs Chelsea, Holden Vs Killfacer.

I will fucking DESTROY you. Your team of slow losers with one good player in who is about 50 years old (Totti) is crap.

FM, FM, and more FM. Normally, with football games, it's common to just buy a new issue every season. But I'm still stuck on FM 07 for some reason.

I also still have FIFA 98 on this PC. Great game.

Yeah for me Football Manager is the ultimate football game. It's got nearly endless possiblities.

Im stuck on FM 08 because Im poor, but too many good transfers have happened so ill need to get the newest one when it comes out

I've reverted to FM 08 because i've played too much FM 09

FM 09 is a beast. Especially when you get a network game going with friends. Our drinking sessions have now degenerated into vicious exercises in mindgames...

Although there's not much difference between 08 and 09. The new 3D engine is pointless and I just send my assistant manager to the press conferences. Plus Man City are an even greater shower of bastards

Killfacer
12th August 2009, 15:00
My problem with Man City is that whenever im then i always end up buying the same players which gets boring pretty quickly

(players like Veloso, Palombo, Srna, Vagner Love etc)

(players like Veloso, Palombo, Srna, Vagner Love etc)My Arsenal team got to Palombo and Veloso first

But then the AI loves (no pun intended) Vagner Love and Srna. In every game of 09 City pick them up in the first transfer window. Obviously no other club can compete with them on the market

Just received an email from Sports interactive regarding FM10:

The Greatest Job on Earth is back!
Sports Interactive, the undisputed experts on football management sims, are pleased to announce that Football Manager 2010 and Football Manager Handheld 2010 will be released simultaneously for another action-packed season on 30th October 2009.

Football Manager 2009 is the most successful in the Football Manager series to date, selling in excess of 1 million copies worldwide, as well as being voted the 2nd best video game of all time in a recent Radio 1 poll.
However, developer Sports Interactive has been made aware via the ever faithful Football Manager community that the addition of big new features in the last few releases has come at the expense of attention to existing areas of the game and solving long standing issues.
Which is why they have spent the last year working closely with the community to target not only the areas of the game that needed re-working but also what they could add to improve what’s already there. “We’re very confident that having done that we will deliver the very best Football Manager to date in October,” says Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive.

So, why will this be the best FM ever?
Improved Match Engine – improved AI, over 100 new animations in 3D mode, new stadiums and crowds, improved pitch degradations and better lighting make for the most immersive pitch-side experience ever.
New User Interface – completely new vibrant look and feel to the game with a light and dark skin to choose from, plus a navigational overhaul. The side menu is replaced by an intuitive tab system which allows you to access all areas of FM 2010 quickly and easily.
Tactical Overhaul– a new tactics module makes it much easier to make your team play as you want them to. There are thousands of possible pre-set options and touchline “shout” instructions for making instant changes to your teams playing style. Don’t worry; the old system is still there for people who love their sliders.
Match Analysis – a new tool shows you where shots, passes, crosses, headers, tackles, fouls and interceptions have happened for both sides, so you can work out your, and your opponent’s, strengths and weaknesses.
New Data Editor – As well as being able to update squads, with the brand new and very easy to use Competition Editor you can now add cups and extra divisions for leagues currently in the game plus completely new competitions.
News Center – a subscription based newspaper. Get the news about the football world around you that you want, and not the news you don’t want.
Polish – a year of polish, making the game faster, more immersive, more realistic and easier to play with better in game feedback and more advice, delivered in a more user friendly way.
Football Manager Handheld 2010 New Features– A brand new skin for the game, improved match engine AI, new unlockable managerial abilities, assistant manager team reports and improved coach and scout reports amongst others.

I play FIFA most days against anyone who will play me. I haven't lost a single match to anyone in months. I am a massive geek but I am brilliant at it. I doubt anyone on this forum could beat me at FIFA, I have it down to too fine an art.

I've plotted to get fifa 10 with my house mates so it shouldnt set us back much individually. FM at 25 quid would be a fucking bargin.

Who else is all for a prestigious revleft fifa session? We just need a venue..

I always buy FM down asda because it's consistantly cheaper than everywhere else. It's strange, most of their games are rip offs but sometimes they seel games for half the price they're usually at.

That said, I did spy FM 09 a week or two ago at a mere E35

I wish I could thank you for that, Om. Brings back good memories. I think I'll go play some FIFA 98 in a few minutes, actually. Besides them, I mostly played FIFA 2000 and 2002. They weren't great games, but they had some good songs.
