I think its harder to predict this season that for the last few years because you have really good teams like Everton and Aston Villa who have small squads and other good teams such as Manchester City (who could either fly or flop) and Tottenham etc.

In regards to relegations I saw Hull play Carlisle pre-season and they only scraped by 2:1 with pretty much a full team out, and Carlisle are a bloody awful team at the moment. Hull were really weak and created nothing so I recon the wheels will fall off compared to last seasons performance.

5) Everton
6) Arsenal

Relegated: Wolves, Burnley, B'ham

I think this would be the season of poor results for Arsenal. Most surprising team might easily be Sunderland, even tho i hate to admit it.

I don't think Sunderland will be relegated, I think they could do pretty well and finish up mid-table

Poor results for arsenal my arse

Screw that, I'm putting money on Arsenal tomorrow. They don't have anywhere near the required squad depth to win the league but I can always hope...

Liverpool also suffer from a paper thin squad (although that is largely Rafa's fault) but should have the quality to finish second. Chelsea badly need new blood but the spine of their team (ie, Lampard) remains as solid as ever - third and a good shot at European glory

Utd will be thereabouts as always but have an even poorer first team. They'll be relying on Berbs and Rooney for goals... so that's fourth for them. Although new signing Obertan is pure class (even if I can't get him in FM )

City to be the best of the rest. In a low scoring game like soccer you can't gift the opposition goals and expect to win. I can see any decent team (no disrespect to Big Sam) tearing through their defence

Why would Chelsea drop down to third?

Why would Chelsea drop down to third?Because they've got nothing about them other than Lampard ticking along like clockwork. Deco is still AWOL, Ballack should be drawing a pension, and Drogba (on whom they are almost entirely reliant for goals) will definitely not got the whole season without having his head turned. Zhirkov was a very shrewd acquisition but Chelsea could so with another three or four players of his calibre

In short, this is the same team as last year except older. Mediocre through and through

Theres nothing to suggest that though. We have more practice, more team unity and we alreayd beat united in the community shield.

Ballack is a good player.

Wasn't Anelka top scored last year? That would seem to undermine this point

Ballack is a good player.Good but old and, I hate to say this, a man born to be runner up

Wasn't Anelka top scored last year? That would seem to undermine this point Unsurprising given that Drogba missed most of the first half of the season. Which was exactly when Chelsea were struggling. They were effectively out of the race until both Drogba and Hiddink came along

You are partially right. The point is though they have Lampard and Drogba fit and ready to go. If this doesn't change then i think they can challenge just as much as any of the top four for the title. In fact they have some depth aswell. Who is liverpools striker if Torres is out? Voronin? N'gog? None of them have the required quality.
