It could be real... (although this could also be staged; and this could be well staged considered that allegedly she lied about being pregnant)
Well...I'm no longer surprise of finding out of Americans being that dumb, especially if they are the "intolerant christian" ones which tend to be in general ignorant.

I don't think you could ever meaningfully or truthfully say 'Americans are dumb', and I don't see how its acceptabel to say this but not the same of any other people.

Perhaps I phrased it incorrectly.
I meant finding out of of Americans (i.e. some of Americans) who are that dumb not "Americans are dumb"

WOW WTF. What kind of school system do you have over there? This cant be real, but then again it does not look like their acting.

All I watched so far is the part where they kept saying the Indian girl was African, because she didn't have "pointy" eyes and was "dark."
Fucking idiots.
I still have to watch the rest. If my post quality goes down after watching this, I'm informing everyone that it's probably because I got dumber watching this. :(

I'm sure it's a troll, but it is so close to real people that I have known growing up that I decided to post it in Religion and not Chit Chat.

That's a tough one. Do I actually think Americans have less intelligence, of course not. But, when you compare it to other countries that seem comparable in many ways (industrialized, imperialist, liberal democracies), there definitely seems to be a bigger and more mainstream anti-intellectual current in American culture than in those other cultures. For instance, are there any Counties in England where creationism is actually taught side by side with evolution, in state-run primary schools (what we call public in the U.S., what you call private in England)?

The video description on youtube is actually what made my agnosticism about whether it is a troll turn to certainty that it is-
My friend saraa is indian and i learned about her culture and realized she needs to become christian, i wanna save her but right now its not looking so good :(.

I hope against hope that no one seriously believes creationism enjoys equal billing with evolution in U.S. public schools. A few, as in a very few, places try it now and then, but it is invariably smacked down as unconstitutional when challenged.
In Western countries, the inclusion of evolution in science courses has been mostly uncontroversial, with the exception of parts of the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States). There, the Supreme Court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States) has ruled the teaching of creationism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creationism) as science (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science) in public schools (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_school_%28government_funded%29) to be unconstitutional. Intelligent design (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligent_design) has been presented as an alternative explanation to evolution in recent decades, but it has also been ruled unconstitutional by a lower court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_district_court).

Comment by the person who put up the video:
"there have been a lot of people wondering whether this video is real or not. i will say that it is as real as God"
So it's probably fake.

Someone should conduct an international study to determine if there's any correlation between the virulence of the strain of capitalism and the miseducation of the population of various nations. I'm guessing that the apparent idiocy of US-Americans, which obviously isn't genetic, is related to the ultra-capitalism practiced here. Capitalists control the state; the state controls the education system. 1 + 1 = 2 (I think).

I call Poe's Law.
Poe's Law is one of the tags plus the girl is a fan of Edward Current. Brilliant comedy, had me going at first too.

I really really really hope that's comedy. If it wasn't, I just feel really really sorry for that Indian girl. I have christian friends and hindu friends and they don't try to convert each other or me. I don't care who has what religion and i don't mind discussing it, but if someone was trying to convert me like that because they thought I would go to 'hell' I would just walk out. I can't actually believe that girl stayed as long as she did. I had to admire the cool way she exited though.
Well somebody please please inform me that was all fake?

I'm sure I saw poes law as a tag when I watched ot the other day, plus she had an Edward Current video in her favorites. Unless of course she is that dappy she didn't realise that was satire in which case it would be a reverse Poes law no? :)

How recently did these rulings occur? A few years ago, intelligent design and evolution were given equal attention in my high school biology class. The teacher almost avoided the subject of evolution completely. She gave a brief definition of evolution and a brief definition of intelligent design. We were given an assignment to research the one we believed in and return with a short essay on it, and it was never spoken of again.

I thought it just had to be comedy, but did you see the slide at the end where it said 'i hope saraa changes her mind please pray for her' or something of the suchlike? If it was a joke I think it would actually say so at the end, or it might show them all bursting into laughter or something. Or it would at least say it was a joke on the site. Also, one of my cousins is actually like that so I know that this stuff does happen. *shudder*:scared::scared::scared:

WOW. Its things like this that make me embarrassed to be white.
I don't think it was a joke, did you see the faces on the 'regular' girls as they were trying to convert her?
I'm just surprised the 'Indian' friend didn't leave sooner or say that they couldn't be friends before the 'regular' girls said it. I hope she avoids them like the plague.

I made about 2/3rds the way though and couldn't stomach it anymore. Things like this have happened to me personally. (And back then I was fucking Catholic, but according to the branch that tried to convert me Catholics aren't Christian wtf?) Anyways, this is definitely not a joke, it is commonplace in this fucked up country.
