An Open Letter of Apology To All Whom I Have Offended:
Dear friends,
I wish to apologize to all the comrades in this forum for offending them. The ones I directly offended in written words and the vast number of ones that should feel offended by my behavior, especially those who have kindly befriended me.
I expressed in shielded language the most odious sentiments over what could have been, except for my intervention, a respectful and edifying discussion about the term 'genderqueer' and its justifications. Shame on me.
In reality, my words were disruptive and offensive. Insulting and yes, to some extent bigoted. Just check out my participation in the "Genderqueer" (http://www.revleft.com/vb/genderqueer-t114028/index.html?t=114028&highlight=Genderqueer) and "New Tet" (http://www.revleft.com/vb/new-tet-t114617/index.html?t=114617&highlight=Genderqueer) threads for evidence of my intellectual perfidy!
In truth, I deserve to be restricted, at the very least, and am surprised that it hasn't happened sooner.
And yet, for some insane reason I believe that I am a better man than that. And that those whom I have offended are better people still whether they call or define themselves or each other as 'He', 'She' or 'Ze'.
As far as I'm concerned, it will not happen again. Over this topic or any other important or unimportant topic.
However, I would not too readily forgive me over this. Mainly because in my case, forgiving would be an attempt at forgetting and by forgetting repeating.
And I cannot abide that.
