sometimes i got the feeling that symbolism is like a religion. For exemple in a purely pragmatic vision, a house where attrocities have been committed still a house, but for many people, including agnostic/atheist, this place will give people the creeps, some wil eventually feel or see things, even tho its just a fucking house.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Symbolism is nothing at all like a religion. The alphabet and the mathematical system are both forms of symbolism whereby a character is used to symbolize an idea which reflects some form of material reality.

Religion is a belief system, usually involving a moral code, which usually stems from something supernatural (a deity, though sometimes not) and makes claims regarding metaphysical aspects of our existence.

Modern religious symbols are taken from paganism and such. For example, after prayers Christians say "amen". Amen is actually a tribute to the Egyptian god Amen-ra or amon.

When I educated in the Roman Catholic church. When I was a kid it was my interpretation that Amen was like the carriage return at the end of a teletype line. The whole prayer gets stored in a serial buffer, then when you say Amen it gets transmitted to God. I was confused by the Church's increasing tendency to end the Our Father with the phrase "deliver us from evil" and not say Amen, because without an Amen It wasn't clear to me when the message would go out.
