I don't consider myself a "primitivist," because I don't believe in some mythically pure "nature." So that result was kind of odd, though I definitely sympathize with the (philosophical) critique of technology and scientism, ie. Heidegger. I'd also like to look into political ecology, ie. Michael Watts and Richard Peet's collection. Everything else seems in order :)

I came across an interesting commentary on Peter Kropotkin and Ricardo Flores Magon which presented their immaturity with regards to feminist thought. I think it'd be very unwise to denounce their work because of it, but it's a warning when it comes to the glorification of those people.
It pains me though, for I admire their writings. I'd post the link but I have too few posts and it won't let me. It's at the RFM page at the Anarchy Archives.

I don't like the assumption of this quiz that being in favour of animal rights/equality somehow makes you a primitivist, and I think the phrase "We should create alternative institutions, whilst resisting established ones" could be applicable to all anarchists not just primitivists.

Although, I must say that I didn't like the false binary view of Anarcha-feminism versus a focus on class with such questions as "All hierachy and oppression can be traced back to man's domination over woman" and "Patriachy is the fundamental problem in society". I believe that the struggle against patriarchy is important and inseparable from class struggle and anarchism, but it's not the only system of oppression out there and not the only thing we need to smash. Maybe I don't understand Anarcha-feminism completely, but I don't think anyone is really arguing for a focus solely on the liberation of women to the exclusion of all other struggles against oppression as some of these questions seem to be written towards. Other than that, my results are not surprising in the least.
Only anarcho-syndicalists are proper anarchists.

Fuck off all you damn anarkids and primmies. Get a job because you can't dumpster dive for dues money, ya little punks! And get off my lawn - I mean, the lawn held in trust for the benefit of the community by local workers syndicates and community organizations *shakes fist*
Okay, seriously, as an anarcho-syndicalist, I believe that without a solid perspective on class struggle and recognizing the importance of it, anarchism is just a shitty lifestylist subculture (at least, that's how I feel about the anarchist movement in North America). Anarcho-syndicalism, in my opinion, is the clearest and most practical conception of this. But, I've also been accused of being the Stalin of the anarchists by some friends, so...

I'm sorry, this was intended as a joke at some of the divides in the anarchist movement, especially in North America, directed as a gentle ribbing at both sides, really by doing a bit of a caricature.
Do you, as a mod, have to editorialize in such a harsh manner with "incredibly dense and stupid"?

The results seem about right, although that 5% in Anarcho-Capitalism seems anomalous. I suspect it's because while I'm mostly a collectivist, I don't think that individualism should be completely trampled into the ground.

It isn't. The people that call themselves "anarcho-capitalists" are just a bunch of internet trolls that dream of a mythic, nonexistent version of capitalism and worship Ludwig von Mises. They aren't anarchists. They're more like extreme liberal individualists.

hm i found some of the questions rather confusing. For example about the means of production being controlled by the workers and not the community... in communism/anarchism there is no distinction between the workers and the community, no exploiter and exploited, just those who live and produce to stay alive - and ofcourse, it is them who should control the production process (for they are the ones producing).

I dont think the anarcho-capitalist part neccessarily means you support capitalism, I got 5% anarcho-capitalist but thats because i have some individualist leanings. The quiz is a bit confused, i am in no way a primitivist but i support animal liberation and enviromental stuff so according to this quiz im 55% primitivist.

Communist is no surprise. 40-45% feminist and primitivist I suppose because I agreed with
14. All hierachy and oppression can be traced back to man's domination over woman.
and
19. Specialisation of labour is the first step towards hierachy and inequality.
Since the origins of the class system according to Marxism are in the development of the division of labor, and the original division of labor was along lines of sex (and secondarily age)
I'm pretty against syndicalism and 'workerism' so it's no surprise I scored lower on anarcho-syndicalism than anything but capitalism and Christianity

I'm not Christian. I'm still learning about anarchism, so I doubt these results will stand the test of time. Anarcho-Communism is definitely what I'm most interested in, although I have been thinking of it as 'communal democracy'.

I generally consider myself a libertarian socialist rather than an anarchist, cos I'm not convinced that a society with no imposed authority at all is possible for the time being (if society doesn't collectively enforce respect for people's rights then there will inevitably be individuals who violate the rights of others) but I felt like taking the quiz anyways
