I was surprised to read John Lewis and Waitrose are worker co-ops. I suppose worker co-ops only serve the interests of those workers.

Wikipedia says;

The John Lewis Partnership is a major United Kingdom worker co-operative retailer which operates John Lewis department stores, Waitrose supermarkets and the direct services company Greenbee. Unusually, it is a public limited company that is held on trust on behalf of all its employees (called partners) - who have a say in the running of the business and receive an annual profit distribution which is usually a significant addition to their annual salary.

Trust me thats not the reality. Alot of companies have these really odd structures. At the end of the day, as like everywhere else, the bosses make the decisions and the wage slaves have to accept them. The workplace relations are excactly the same, trust me.

Well I trusted Wikipedia which described it as "unusual" (whereas you say a lot of companies have these structures), I need evidence.
