I'd like to wrap myself in his life and be completely enthralled with Che Guevara knowledge. I would greatly appreciate your help guiding me to a list of Che Guevara must reads that will assist me in greater understanding the man and his revolution. I prefer this reading material to be in chronological order, simply to ease the task of understanding his life. I would like to read one book and be able to understand the next, instead of reading one book and having to go search for another so I may understand the first book.

Please don't allow this thread to die. I'm sure this thread will not only be useful to me but many more who have yet to read the life of this man.

Maybe we can start by listing all the books on che and in the end we can organize the reading material.

There are also some books out there not directly with Che in the title but that have a preponderence of informaiton about him. An absolute favorite of mine is Fidel's Cuba

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/156...2244183-1093744 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1560251921/qid=1012854196/sr=1-12/ref=sr_1_15_12/102-2244183-1093744)

I recommend this book very, very highly. It's basically a photo book with commentary and it is something you will enjoy looking at again and again.

No matter what - be sure to read the Bolivian Diary LAST. I read that first as at the time none of the biographies were out... and I ended up reading him backwards -- from death to birth.

Good advice Paris. I'm saving that one for later.

I realize, for those who may be considered more 'knowledgeable' on Che Guevara, these question may seem simple, stupid or a waste of time but nothing could be further from the truth to those who ask them. I'm sure there are plenty of people who could lend out their helpful advice.

Sharing is caring.
