rebel with a cause

This song is about Leonard Peltier

Do you hear what I hear?
Do you see what I see?
Do you feel what I feel?
No......cause you're ignorant.

Crack! The shots ring
out in South Dakota
the innocent parties tried
are those of the Lakota.

The judge enters now
white hooded and caped
fully aware
of the freedom been raped.

The bailiff is standing
the verdict is in
reading aloud and
holds up his grin.

"Power to the GOONS
Peltier is guilty!"
Now saluting Old Glory
just makes me feel filthy!

His life, his liberty,
it's all denied
this is the day
that justice died.
His life, his liberty,
it's all denied
this is the day
that justice died.

Corruption with the feds
just spreads and grows like cancer
they only make more questions
without ever giving answers.

Two-decades and a half
he's sat inside his cell
clemency denied
it is a mortals hell.

The feds ain't got me fooled
I see through their facade
Practice what you preach
if it's you who trusts in God.

The hope is now decreasing
but freedom's still insight
cause by touching only one
this affects all our rights.

His life, his liberty,
it's all denied
this is the day
that justice died.
Our life, our liberty,
it's all denied
this is the day
that justice died.

DO NOT STOP THE FIGHT,
