"With the greatest Interest abd with never slackening attention i read John Reeds Book, Ten Days That shook the World. Unreservedly do i recommend it to the workers of the world. Here is a book which is hould like to see published in millions of copies and translated into all languages. It gives a truthful and and most vivid exposition of the events so significant to the comprehension of what really is the Proletarian Revolution, and the Dictatorship of the Proleteriat. These problems are widely discussed but before one can understand or reject these ideas, one must understand the full significance of such a decision. John Reeds book will undoubtedly help to clear this question, whihc is the fundemental problem of the universal workers movement."- Vladimir Illitch Ulianov

He said it all, a must read for knowledgeable debate on the topic of a Dictatorship of the Proleteriat.

It is a brilliant book, the best on the revolution as it happened. I have to read it again.

I heard there were historical inaccuracies regarding Trotsky's role in the revolution and the party vote on the issue. Apparently the author was not privvy to the vote but gave his opinion on it rather than the facts.
Anyone know about this?

THeres this one bit, where trotsky is entering a building, and the red guards ask each other who trotsky is and whether they should let him in, eventually he is allowed in
