He should be beaten with a feather duster.

I think its unfortunate. One liner!
Indeed.
It's pretty obvious they trumped up his charges, he probably did only use default passwords and look at some random stuff about ufso like he says.
Still, it's always a good look for the US gov to have a big affirmative 'mess with us? you goin down' case going against some randomer. Also, the fact he's a north londoner makes me wish he could stay, if it was a south londoner I'd be all like BEHEAD BEHEAD!

He should be tickled with a feather duster to death!

I hope you understand my boys are already on the way to your house.
Well, they will have the misfortune of being buried in a quiet part of Finsbury Park.
A pitiable fate for anyone, even south londoners.

South londoners cannot be killed.
..Other than by North londoners.

It's a perfect example of how law in capitalist society is focused on defending property rights. This guy is gonna get 70 years for doing half a million pounds worth of damage to NASA - and the kids who murdered Jamie Bulger got what, 8 years?
It's insane. Still I imagine the DoD hasn't spent billions on defence for some savant to fuck it up a few years down the line...

I've always wondered how the US can claim jurisdiction over people committing acts in other countries.

No, he should not be extradited.
A pity our spineless government has done fuck all to stop this shit from happening.

Well that's what he gets for daring to damage the property of the the American government. I mean it's not like a single bomb cost twice as much. And it's not like these bombs will be dropped on villages in Afghanistan. I mean looking at UFO files could hurt somebody!
Love,
Captain Jack
EDIT: P.S:Also, I have been thinking about moving to London after I finish college (That will be in four years, London dwelling comrades don't get too excited). What part should I move to?

Looks like the government has once more spinelessly given in to their masters in Washington - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8381961.stm.
60 years just for "hacking" is just disgusting in my opinion. In America, a murderer can be out in 25 years or less, but if you dare embarrass the government or make a fool out of them, be prepared to spend the rest of your life in jail.
