I don't care much about competitive or professional tennis, but I occasionally play recreationally.

Sure, I suppose it's more bourgeois of a sport than most others, but I like it because the rules are simple, equipment is rather minimal, and you only need two people to play.

I don't really care for sports at all, but I still find tennis enjoyable to 3-4 times a year I get out to do it.

By the way, I'm pretty garbage as a player, but so are most of my friends; we usually spend more time chasing balls than actually hitting. :lol:

Tennis isn't really bourgeois here where I grew up and live (though unfortunately it does attract that type of crowd), its more of a sport for all people, because there are shit loads of tennis courts here. I like tennis, it's pretty fun and I used to play in youth competitive tournaments. I haven't played seriously in years though, but it's still fun to get out to a court every now and then.
