Music Censorship

In a magazine i subscribe to there is an article this mounth about the censorship of music.

Acoording to information they have gathered these are the top ten censorses of music between the dates 1980 and 1999.
In order from most censored to least:
Turkey, USA, South Africa, Israel/Occupied Territories, Chile, USSR and Russia (following the fall of the USSR), Czechoslovakia, Algeria, France and Britian.

The continent with the most censorship is The Middle East and NOrth Africa and the one with the least is the Caribbean.

South Africa used to ban films with violence and with interracial marriages and Tipper Gore's group tried a whole bunch of shit in the 80s much of the "information" for parents came straight from the relgious right. did you know a secret panel decides what movies get what ratings for movies?

I've got a video of Rage playing and before one of there shows Mary Morello comes out and speaks about this organization. The crowd responce to her speech is dissapionting, I'm sure i hear some booing by the end.

Mary Morello is Tom Morellos mother she started Parents For Rock and Rap to combat the PMRC

I'm sure there is a homepage to this organization (if it still exists) somewhere. On a qucik glance i could not find but if you look around there's plenty of info avaliable.
