Welcome to revleft, Sarah.
Always good to have some more females here, so at least not everything is written from a male perspective.

Welcome Sarah.
Hi :)
Ha while obv we need to have more women in the movement I fail to see how a female perspective is different from a male. :p
A female perspective is different from a male perspective insofar as females bring a different set of societal experiences and are more likely to have a first-hand understanding of gender discrimination. In the same way that oppressed minorities and ethnic groups bring a different set of societal experiences and are more likely to have a first-hand understanding of racial discrimination. While certainly the central theme among revolutionary leftists is class struggle, and rightfully so, it is naive to assume that other forms of oppression (sexism/patriarchy, racism, etc) are immaterial or invisible. Certainly you do not really believe that a revolutionary left composed solely of white males would be indistinguishable from a revolutionary left composed of a representative sample of society? The goal, no doubt, is a society in which "race" and gender are irrelevant, but clearly that is not the case under capitalism, and we are only harming ourselves if we pretend otherwise.
I suspect you will soon notice this yourself, but the number of females on this forum is a fraction of the size of the number of males, and quite frequently the content of the threads is demonstrative of this fact. So yes, I see it as a very positive thing when other females join because females are underrepresented here in a major way.
