K-OS - anybody heard of him?

just wondering who heard of the rapper called K-OS and what your thoughts about him are. Me, i think he's one of the few rappers now days that accually send a message out and dont rap about money, ice, spinning rims and so forth. heres a link to his web site if you dont know him and wish to know.

I've heard of him and I think he's fantastic. K-OS has been around for a long time and his most recent album is probably his last. I was actually going to see him live but i had school and a lack of money.

yea, i hope its not his last. ima buy the cd some time this summer. but was the the one who sang tha song with tha chorus that goes " all haill fidel castro " or somthing like that. cause i've been searching for the title and who sings that song but im sure its him.

In the Music video of "Superstar" K-OS is wearing a Castro hat or something.

yeah k-os is a conscious rapper, and even better person... i've been able to meet with him a few times at fundraisers for the black community in toronto, and he filmed his music video ontop of the salvation army next to my building, toronto cats should know that intersection of sherbourne & dundas... he is among many socially conscious toronto rappers though, what is sad is that most of toronto's big rappers (choclair, saukrates, kardinal) all began droppin conscious tunes (what it takes, hate runs deep, man by choice) all respectively, but have fallen off lately....
people in the hip hop scene need to check out a head named mathematik (scarboro reppin) he delivers some serious songs (uprise, rhyme training) and has videos unlike any emcee i have seen so far...
if you aint heard toronto hip hop, don't sleep...
