Can anyone provide a good critique to the portrayals, actions, and historical context of the movie?

I found the movie to be ridiculous.

A film truly ahead of its time. After all, what is Get off my plane! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=238y_E0zZK0) if not a warning regarding climate change and the damage caused by carbon emissions from the aerospace industry?

Its about as realistic and interesting as some of the proposals a few on this site have for curing the ills of capitalism.
