Hey there!

Im spending next week in London with family. But what should i visit? Do you have any nice shops or places where I can hook up with nice leftists?

I have no idea where you can "hook up" with "nice" leftists, but if you like history I suggest you check out The Tower of London (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tower_of_London). Also, look for museums that exhibit Roman relics found in Britain (http://www.brickfields.org.uk/text/roman-relics.html). And here: http://www.beenthere-donethat.org.uk/hertfordshire/stalbans4.html

They even offer day trips from London!

Hehe, maybe it sounded a bit silly. What i meant with hooking up, was if you knew any places like community centers or anarchist bookstores or something similar...

How about Marx's grave?

 Marx's grave is in probably the poshest cemetery in London.

Hackney is alright, but there's only a selected amount of stuff to do; nightlife, leftist stuff goes on with lcap but that's a bit further on in tower hamlets.

The north and south bank are always good, various markets (brixton of course), I iunno if you're interested but there are loads of free museums, exhibitions (ExCel centre, tate etc), kew gardens etc.

Highgate sucks to go to. Prepare for a long, uphill walk.

It's also the epitome of gentrification in Haringey. Poor council estates exist side-by-side with some extremely expensive houses.

It's almost a disservice to Marx that he was buried there.
