I hate gangsta rap and everything related to it. I think all these gangsta and thugger motherfuckers ought to bend over and bite their dicks off so they don't pollute our gene pool. What's your opinion on it?
Thank you.

Has anyone heard of Non Phixion.
It's probably considered "gangsta rap" but and if it is, then it's the first "gangsta rap" group that I don't mind.

Hey gangsta rap ain't all that bad. I remember I used to listen to it all the time in second grade. My favorite song is REGULATOR by Nate Dog and Warren G. But's that's about it. My taste in music has changed DURASTICALLY since that point in my life. Right now i'm listening to Nirvana.

Gangsta Rap - it is a label the white media placed on hip hop music that spoke about what happened in the streets where these black/latino men lived...
there were exaggerations, but don't me that people who live in the most neglected ghettos of the USA don't become exposed to the harsh realities of violence, drugs and macho mentality... it's entertainment, but it's also a high level of truth.... i don't listen to it personally, but i respect it still.... NWA was labelled gangsta rap when they were just dropping a message that moved away from the status quo of the time... a negative label is what lead to so much negative music.... when you have record labels who buy up these hungry black males and not only accept, but encourage their message there is a serious problem... conscious people do not get signed because they are a threat to corporate america.... we're still being oppressed in the year 2003.... shit don't change...

It's not the music its self that is bad (though Im not a big fan of rap), it is the image it has developed lately. And I say lately because gangsta rap can actually give a good message as it is the portrayal of the life of the black working class (their dayly struggles, etc.) it is basically what oi! and hardcore is for white people. The problem is that it has become commercialized and created a distorted view of embracing the problems that the urban working class faces as a form of "tolerance". And most of the mainstream "gangstas" are rich Uncle Tom's that don't represent ghetto youths in the least bit.

corporate america has streamlined what is considered marketable.... people like dead prez, paris, channel live, and krs one are all very talented, but they speak knowledge... hence, they are threatening to the establishment of the music industry that wants to keep ignorant rappers out on the scene droppin rhymes which are heavily materialistic, while rockin genocide and jewel encrusted chains...
another thing that pisses me off with current hip hop today is that a lot of people think that "hip hop culture" creates fashion trends??? we slightly influence it in a natural way (baggy pants, doo rags, army fatigues, ect) but nuff heads choose to cross over to a clothing line which laughs when they hear it's name dropped in a verse... you think gucci, versace, luis vuitton or tommy hilfiger don't think that they're catching a lucky break by having scores of young black teens rush out to buy their new gucci air force ones?? this is silly.... they dont give a damn about us....
we need to create more clothing companies so we can control our own moeny.... idolizing designers which sell clothes worth more than many of us take home in a month is idiotic... we should be proud of clothing companies like da link went, big it up, bob marley footwear, ect.....
i love hip hop, but we (all listeners) are responsible for its death due to our consumer habits... if we think current hip hop is weak, we need to buy the talented artists and leave people who send a negative image back to the unemployment line....
we got the power to invoke change, no doubt....

You can start by not badmouthing Mos and Kweli, support that shit. They're conscious rappers that have more of an influence in the mainstream than most MCs, even your boy Nas was on some bling shit.
