Could someone explain why primitives get banned in this forum? Does that extend to post-civ and anti-civ politics? Green anarchism?
In my area, it's pretty rampant with green anarchists and anti-civ kids. Whats so offensive about their politics?

Well, they want us to go back a few epochs. That's reactionary in the 'purest' sense of the term.

It necessitates mass extermination.

Yes, that's true. And I think the whole "language is oppressive" thing is a little absurd (thanks, zurzan) but I'm not sure if I think they shouldn't be allowed to participate in discussion. Their politics are interesting, and shouldn't be silenced.

Actually they are, and zerzans anthropological and philosophical opinions are interesting to.
While I am certainly no primitivist, I think the technocratic extremism of people like Vanguard borders on something equally ridiculous. And actually fuels the case of technophobia by scoring endless own goals, like backing businesses in campaigns of environmental destruction and esposing Exxon backed pseudo-science about global warming.
Anyway I digress, they are allowed to post here, in the OI forum, and given the paramaters of this particular forum I think that makes sense..

I wasnt aware they were banned, I know they are restricted.
I think they should be at least allowed to dwell in OI, the utter hypocrisy of them condemning technology while using a computer to spread their views is amusing to say the least.

I find it interesting that vanguard manages to be guilty of "technocratic extremeism" despite openely rejecting technocracy.
