"Hopi activists have received this shocking video from inside Iran, showing the Bassij throwing students from the top of a roof - an indication of the sort of crackdown that our brothers and sisters in Iran are currently being subjected to." (from Hopi blog)

What the fuck? That is clearly one of the most brutal and improvised "crackdown" techniques I've ever seen.

It's a shame there is no clear way to indicate the video is genuine, except on the overwhelming likelihood of it being so.

Yes, some Hopi members are exiled Iranian leftists.

Those few leftists who still defend the Islamic regime in the name of anti-imperialism should think again. Watch the video and be aware that this is the kind of thing that is happening to our comrades in Iran.

Anybody can enter basij militia they dont pick, anybody who supports regime gets a rifle and a motorcycle and authority to do whatever they want. Under international laws volounter groups such as Basij militia cannot be held responcible over actions of their members, and also there is a code of scilence between basij members. That means that their members have absolute impunity to kill.

Found a CNN report about it from 2003...

Is it the same one as around 50 sec in?
