I think this is the second Zevon thread, but does any one know if he is still alive? I'm gonna cry when he dies, he is the greatest harmonica player ever, even better than Dylan. And the best pianist.

Poor guy, he's known he's gonna die for over a year know. Years before he got cancer, he wrote my" shits fucked up" which is about getting cancer... and "life'll kill ya" "don't let us get sick" now he is really dying...so depressing.

All I know about WZ is from Hunter S. Thompson books and his album, "Excitable Boy," which I own. He is pretty dark, way before Nick Cave, and his bouncy piano-ballads are remniscient of a manly Elton John.
