I was just curious about the kinds of jobs working comrades on this site have. This is in no way about making some kind of judgment about comrades specifically or in general on this website. I know great radicals who come from all walks of life, so I don't think that your background or occupation determines how good your politics are.
I'm just curious about where we tend to be - since comrades here seem to be on the younger side (it's an internet thing and a free time thing I think) I'd guess that of the comrades who work, most are doing service jobs and things like that.

Sorry to hear that comrade.
Did you have to get a masters in Library science? Every time I see Library openings in the US, they include a masters degree in the job requirements. Too bad for me, I'd love to work in a Library - stack books, "shush" people, whatever.

We have stores like that in the US: Buckle and Express. They pretty much cater to the 20-30 year old demographic: hipsters, students, office chic, and "alternative" types.

I work a service job too by the way where I sit around writing poll questions on RevLeft, strain my eyes from rolling them whenever a new policy is handed down from our managers, answer really stupid questions from Bay Area yuppies, don't get pay raises, and fantasize about how easy it would be to shut this mother down if we went on strike here.

I've worked in all of the above categories. Now I'm permanently stuck in the service sector. I'm a full-time masseur at a wealthy retirement community populated mostly by old widows. They're my biggest customers!
Funny to think how I started massaging nice, young chicks and wound up giving sexy rubdowns to rich old ladies who are way beyond faking an orgasm!
But not everyone has it as bad as me, I hope! Proof of that is the following useful public service message:
