The first issue of the new online theoretical journal Demarcations is now online. People need to check it out, it is an exhilarating read. The web address is: http://demarcations-journal.org
As the editorial states:
"Demarcations: A Journal of Communist Theory and Polemic seeks to set forth, defend, and further advance the theoretical framework for the beginning of a new stage of communist revolution in the contemporary world. This journal will promote the perspectives of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA."
Reading the full editorial, I can't wait to see the future editions and the topics they grapple with!
Here's the table of contents for the first issue, which is pretty electrifying:
Issue Number 1, Summer-Fall 2009
Alain Badiou's "Politics of Emancipation": A Communism Locked Within the Confines of the Bourgeois World (http://www.demarcations-journal.org/issue01/demarcations_badiou.html)
by Raymond Lotta, Nayi Duniya, and K. J. A.
(Also available in PDF (http://www.demarcations-journal.org/issue01/demarcations_badiou.pdf))
On Developments in Nepal and the Stakes for the Communist Movement: Letters to the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) from the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, 2005-2008 (With a Reply from the CPN(M), 2006) (http://www.demarcations-journal.org/issue01/nepal_article.html)
"Crises in Physics," Crises in Philosophy and Politics (http://www.demarcations-journal.org/issue01/crisis_in_physics.html)
