He must've been pretty influential to death metal. I wouldn't know though.

Chuck was an awesome guitarist. His later albums were my favorites.

Actually Death are pure musical genious, Chuck Schuldiner was a legendary songwriter and guitarist and hugely influential.
One of the most influential people in metal.

The albums "Leprosy", "Spiritual Healing" and "Human" remain my favorite three by Death. But they were all very good.
Control Denied...maybe that band could've evolved. It was a tragic loss indeed, but Chuck's legacy is monumental.

'Human' was awesome, and probably Death's best. Though I don't see why we would be mourning Chuck now rather than, say, Midnight.
