Why was the CPGB dissolved in 1991?

Because it suffered a fatal split, between the [minority] Leninists (come Kautskyites) of the modern CPGB* (who robbed the office and most of the money) and the [majority] Stalinists who had off with the printing press.

The modern Communist Party of Britain (CPB) is what came of the ex-CPGB Stalinists.

According to Wikipedia the CPB left the CPGB in 1988. In 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed, the Eurocommunist-dominated leadership of the CPGB, led by Nina Temple, decided to disband the party, and establish Democratic Left, a left-leaning political think tank rather than a political party. Are there any documents from the period to suggest why it was disbanded?
