Green Day are an incredible band, Good ridance (time of your life) is an incredible song. However there are many better ones than that, a song called pulling teath on the Dookie album is one of my favourates as is pop rocks and coke on the International superhits album. I still need to buy there live album and Kerplunk, but I have no money at the min.

Also they are really really great live, they put other bands/artists such as A and Iggy POP to shame...
Has anyone else seen them live?

Hey AK47, i saw them live when they played in Cardiff with quite a few other bands including Iggy Pop, A and Hundred Reasons.
I agree they really were amazin, i also enjoyed Hundred Reasoons at that gig but all the other bands just looked weak up against Green Day.

Yes I saw a similar line up, I was at the Nottingham Distortion festival though, that was really good. But Greenday were by far the best.
Did you have the Drinking Rabbit appear just before Greenday came on?

WHAT?!?! Iggy Pop to shame?! What the fuck are you talking about. I would kill to see Iggy live! Iggy is the man, he started stage diving. Nothing as exhilirating as Iggy on stage. He cut himself went crazy, he's got the adrenaline and the balls. Iggy Pop owns live.

Yeh.
They had lots of stunts, in King for a Day some people in chicken outfits came to play horns and Billie climbed part way up the amps and stuff. Iggy may used to have been great live but when i saw him he was very dissapionting he just stood around and yelled abuse at the crowd.
Green Day's Dookie and Nimrod are very strong albums, but now they make crap en are very commercial.

Sorry dude but Comrade Raz mad e a very accurate discription of Iggy pop, he might good but he pales in comparison to Green Day building up the crowd tention at the begining and then at the last second sending them wild to the sounds of Basket case or Brain stew. Imagine thousands of people suddenly exploading into song in one Giant Mosh pit, all at the same time...
Iggy never managed that, and Green Day sustained that level of crowd participation the entire time they were on...
It was incredible.

They sold out punk, they should be shot in the face.

OMG I used to be so in love with the drummer. I think it's Trey cool or something. I don't remember. Don't really like their newer music though.

What so you think that the B-side album, is a sell out album, have you actually heard it? It has several songs that were good enough to be on the Dookie album.
Perhaps you could argue that Warning is but, that still had some decent stuff on it.

It is generally considered that Green Day sold out punk. I have heard their songs, its good if you call unoriginal meaningless teenage bullshit good music, I don't though. I need meaning.
