How would people be remunerated for their labor in a communist society? Would there be a voucher system as a place holder for the labor they have done, would everything be free or some other system?

And if everything was free, what would prevent the non-laboring portions of the populations from leaching off the laboring portion of the population?

I think a voucher system is fine, for a while at least. But in the end, people should just be able to take what they need. There's no real reason for them to take more than that since they can't sell it or anything. As for non-labouring members of society (those that are adults) most likely their number would be so few that it wouldn't really matter. I'm sure these people could be identified too. Maybe we could have and ID card that has their labour status linked to it.
