Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a discussion to this end might be useful... we need to be able to correctly determine which posters are indeed trolling RevLeft, and those who are merely naive. We've made the mistake before of banning people who've probably not had it coming (such is natural) and if we make too many mistakes like this, we alienate too many people. But, people are just going to troll this thread anyway, since TAII started it, so why should I even bother?

A troll is a member of a race of fearsome creatures from Norse mythology. Originally more or less the Nordic equivalents of giants in Norse jotun, the greek mythologys titans (anti-gods). Which Thor/Tor and the other norse gods fought. And when they did lightning and thunder was created from Thors hammer. Jotun's lived in Jotunheimen the highest mountain region in Norway. It was belived that the earth was made up of one jotun. With trees and all growing on it. Its the same with trolls only they are not that large, but can be the size of a mountain. And if they are hit by any sunbeams they turn to stone.

Bad, bad move. Women on revleft are better off pretending to be men. I found this out the hard way. Its always interesting to observe the introductions by new users who explicitly state that they are female. Suddenly, they are 50 teenage boys' new potential internetz girrfriend, and they are treated accordingly - debate deteriorates into smarmy cajoling, so on and so forth. If psychologists were worth their weight in shit, I'd recommend that at least half the boys here schedule an appointment ASAP.:closedeyes:
