Anyone read the controversial French book The coming insurrection that the media is demonizing?
It's written by 'The invisible committee'
I think they are anarchist-communist

I have not read it yet, but am thinking of purchasing it and doing exactly that, so will report back to you soon, so long that someone dosent beat me to it. From what i can gather, its basically a 21st centuary version of the communist manifesto, except written by anarchists. Also, they have decided to use psydo-name for some strange reason.

Why has it caused a stir in the media? Probably because, for the first time in ages, there is seriously obvious evidence to back up the authors claims.

This IMO just shows the extent that people have been totally brainwashed to worship capitalism as synomonous with 'normal reality' and that anything else is considered almost alien. I say this as quite frankly, it has totally stunned me at the amount of controversy this almost panthlet (136 pages?) has caused. It hasnt even got a named author, for crying out loud, they could be absolutly anyone. Im very surprised that this has been noticed (let alone taken seriously) at all.

It has apparently even been reviewed by right-wing chatshow host Glenn Beck on his FOX network TV show. WTF? You would think this 'panthlet' has the instructions to make liquid gold from urine, with the amount of interest that it has gathered.

I wrote it based on my experiences single handedly smashing capitalism and the state since the working class was created.

I just use an alias.

It got mentioned, plus a link, in this thread (http://www.revleft.com/vb/comradely-bastille-day-t112922/index.html). My own initial impressions are that its more post-Left nonsense emanating from the French intellectual tradition. But then I'd hardly be expected to think otherwise

It's free to download here http://libcom.org/library/coming-insurrection-invisible-committee
But after reading a few lines it seems like watered down situationist texts or Frankfurt school/Marcuse books.

From what I've read it's pretty cool.

And lol it's not supposed to be a new work of groundbreaking interlectual theory, its more like a manifesto to fit the modern situation.
