Yeah, definitely start with Superunknown. Then, decide whether you prefer the psychedelic aspects of the music or the heavy metal aspects of the music. If you dig the psychedelia, go with Down on the Upside, or if you dig the heavy metal, go with Badmotorfinger.

Get the LP, Screaming Life, if you want to know what the "Seattle Sound" was like in the early days...

I think both Superunknown and Down on the Upside are pretty good.

Go BadMotorFinger. Jesus Christ Pose is a rockin' track. Good, dirty, rough as hell music. Love it.

Down on the Upside's good as well.

Also worth picking up is the tribute album by "Temple of the Dog"

Great early Seattle sound. The band is made up from members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Chris Cornell's vocals are great on it.

Oh man, Chris Cornell sucks at singing guys. I mean who is he trying to be Creed or something?

His voice is so mellow and depressing....

That's why Audioslave sucks ass.

Chris Cornell trying to be Creed? You do realize who came first mate. Scott Stapp is trying to be Chris Cornell.

And Audioslave rock.

What?? What's wrong with you? Scott Stapp??

Listen to Chris Cornell. Fucking listen, and you will hear echoes of Jimmy Page from Led Zepplin. That's who Chris Cornell sounds like, Jimmy Page, not fucking Catholic Boy from Smallville.

LOL. I am #1 soundgarden fan. The band is amazing. Cornells voice sucks??? Ever heard Black hole sun?

Down on the Upside, their last album, is, in my opinion, their best. From blow up the outside world to Ty Cobb, not one song is bad on the whole album. Badmotorfinger is probably the worst of the three albums(and that doesnt say much, as even badmotorfinger is a great album).Superunknown is a necessary album to anyone who likes grunge.

Scott Stapp is trying to be Eddie Vedder, not Chris Cornell. When I first heard Creed, I thought, "Jesus, when did Pearl Jam start to suck so much?"

And I've got a feeling that CopperGoat was joking.

Last thing, suffian, Jimmy Page was the guitarist. You're thinking of Robert Plant ;)
