this might be blasphemy,but i think bad brains are way overrated.i think people like the idea of a black rasta hardcore band more than the actual music.

Really though, that could be the case for some people but you have to admit that Bad Brains were part of the foundation of the HC movement and have influenced many artists (yet nobody has been able to imitate their original variety of HC). Their a band that most of today's HC scene grew up with.

As for the lyrical content, Im not a rastafarian by any stretch of the imagination but I find many of their political themes agreeable, especially in "Black Dots" and "Banned in D.C."

I like some Bad Brains. The first two songs I heard were "Banned From DC" and "I against I". Their vocals are really unique.

You'd better believe I dig on Bad Brains. I've heard, like, at least 30 of their songs, but I only know the names of 3. I Against I, Attitude, and Banned in D.C. But they rock.

My personal favourite is "Banned In D.C." I play bass so I can really appreciate Deryl's work in that track as well as "Don't Need It" and some others.

BAD BRAINS-"ROIR Session" may be the first thrash recording ever. May the BAD BRAINS be remembered as one of the greatest punk bands ever!!!!! Plus, they smoked weed. That puts them one ahead of Minor Threat!!!! PMA forever!!!! Positive Mental Attitude and good smoke!!!! Pay To Cum.

The Bad Brains are ok, they are kind of overrated though.

My personal favorite songs are "Banned in DC" and "Fearless Vampire Killers".
