I like hardcore music but i dislike it that 99% of the HC-scene is right-wing, so does anyone know any leftist HC bands?

Most certainly not. HxC developed ammong disenfranchized urban youths that wanted to express their anger towards society. It is influenced by the DIY ideal of punk as well as the down-to-earth notion of hip-hop (and musically, you can see elements of both in any variety of hardcore). Yes, there are HC bands of all ideologies, including a small NS scene, but the foundation is definitely leftist.

Here are some I would recommend (If you're only looking for leftist bands):

Bad Brains
Cro-Mag's
Agnostic Front
Madball
Negative Approach
Downset
Black Flag
Bane
Refused
Seein Red (red-edge)
Suicide Machines
Earth Crisis
Body Count
Worker (red-edge)
Minor Threat
Mau Mau's
Gauze
Factor Odio
Dir En Grey
The Stalin
Reagan Youth
Sick Of It All
The Exploited
Propaghandi
Blood For Blood
Ramallah
Candiria
Hatebreed
Fartz

JAPUNGA are leftish. They sort of swing in and out. I guess alot of bands are like that.

When they swing out of the left they don't go to the right. Just sort of a political nowhere.

They're Australian though so you may not have heard of them.

Indeed. That song is actually what got me into hardcore (the "new-school" variety, anyways). Ive been a big Refused fan for 3 years.

You should check out Blaggers I.T.A. They were a left wing band and all members of Anti Fascist Action. They played a mixture of hard core, punk, oi and rap.

Rise Against has a new disc out and it's great.

I wouldn't really consider Proagandhi hardcore.

Don't forget Youth Brigade
The Dropkick Murphys are really working class oriented as are the Swingin Utters, but they're both more street punk. Also, the SubHumans.

Anti-flag are in no way hardcore, they're just straight up punk.

I would call Hammerfall leftists as well. I mean:
"Let your voice speak for the revolution. All your forces with all the powers that you feel. Let your heart beat for the revolution. Led by the templars of steel"

Templars of steel...
I LOVE that song

Meh...

Hammerfall may be left(although I have my doubts) but they certainly are not Hardcore.

I have to admit that I haven't heard of 99% of these bands. Are you guys just putting the names of you and your friends bands in or what?

YOUTH OF TODAY.
They are one of my favorite hardcore bands.
"When we started, I was anti-greed, anti-lust, anti-anger. " -Ray cappo

"One of the major bands on New York City's straight-edge hardcore scene, Youth of Today followed most of the genre's thematic conventions -- disciplined self-reliance, integrity, left-wing politics, and the evils of meat, alcohol, and drugs -- but did so with plenty of inspiring musical energy."

They were a left-wing edge bands that sung about human unity and stuff like that, they weren't all about hate and stuff.

We don't care what you say
Cause you don't have a mind
Our message true, so you can screw
The truth is there to find
Kill them all just for kicks
What a world we have to fix
Marched them and lit the flame
Society System you're to blame
Stole their land and Raped their wives
Society System destroyed their lives
Atomic bombs on helpless Japs
Those attitudes are yours, We won't be trapped

The kids will have their say
The kids will rise today

Push us under and call us names
feed us chemicals To make us tame
The sixties showed The strength of youth
The war showed you The fuckin truth
Play with our lives as if a toy
Now you'll see the difference Through the strength of Oi
Think we're pussys afraid to fight
Then enter our pit and feel our might
The kids will have their say
The kids will rise today

Our union can't be broken as they will try
We'll be united till each of us die
The kids will rise today
The kids will have their fuckin' say
