But we certainly should not end up supporting a contending ruling class just because the movement there is not politically developed or revolutionary enough. This is a horrible way to answer the question of which side you are on.Why is anyone asking that question in the first place? This article, just like the rest of the revolutionary movement seems to think that by not supporting one side of a conflict you are supporting the other side which is just ridiculous. Also, they seem to forget that they ARE supporting the ruling class by supporting the greens. The reformers and the ultra conservatives that currently have power are two parts of the same system.

I just don't understand why so many leftists are determined to pick sides in a conflict that has nothing to do with us or our own goals.

The people of Iran can do as they want, but please don't tell me I should support obvious American imperialism and western bourgeois propaganda just because it's "progressive" or "reformist". I honestly don't really care. Wake me up when revolutionary leftists and socialists are allowed back in the country and start a movement of their own.
