Anyone a fan of it?

the amount of wingnuts tends to be a bit higher if you join an airsoft forum, but airsoft itself is REALLLY fun when you get huge games.

and it is a bit expensive, but cheapo guns are starting to come out that are potentially as good as the upper end ones.

my only gripe besides wingnuts is that bio-degradable bbs are not the only kind of bb in production, but when i do get bbs i buy biodegradable ones.

my problem was that if you get hit you can pretend you weren't hit.

like when we'd all play the pretend shooting each other game at school when we were ickle and some prat would magicaly dodge all the bullets despite the fact my gun was big and fast

well, they are weak, but usually when people have their guns upgraded to around 350 feet per second you feel them. the games ive been to they had refs watching the players too.

I regularly go airsofting. Best sport evar. Intend to get a Krinkov, like an AK47 but compact, used by Spetznaz.

Went airsofting two days ago actually, our team won literally every single round, most of the other team actually walked off the site after lunch. In a game of capture the flag we not only took all the flags (Which is pretty unusual anyway) but we decided that, having already epicly won, we might as well go, beyond the call of duty, and lead an atatck on their base, surrounding it. By the end there was such a tremendous rate of fire on their main base, we couldn't hear a thing and they couldn't move. Pissed off they threw down their guns and had a tantrum.

Lol! I am the vice president of the western capitol area airsoft union, and I organize half of the legal games on the greater Helsinki metropolitan area for the time being. Just went to Berget 7 --->

Aye, right wing nuts are a pain in the ass, and I do have financial problems with the hobby. We have however banned all non-biodegradable bbs from the capitol area. Which I am proud of. I mostly go to the overnight milsim events, and that tends to break my weapons apart pretty quick. (damn the engineers and their plastic fetish)

Thats why its called the gentlemans rule. The finnish scene is so small that if rumors start going you will find yourself banned from every game area pretty quick. We have had no real problem with the so called "god-mode", but occasional accidents happen yes. Especially with heavily geared folks, whom you can find in the longest of games.

cool ^_^

i used to have a TM AK with wood, it was beautiful then i sold it and got a 360. big mistake.

oh well, im going to be buying a AKS-74 sometime soon.

With the games that get organized here. almost everyone wants to be a "contractor" and 3 years ago when i heard that i thought they wanted to be construction workers:/ no i know they are all Blackwater wannabes.

Ill play OPFOR any day ;)

EDIT:

i posted right after Necro did.

i have to say that looks AWESOME. it is a bit expensive lol

there was a team that roleplayed as a NVA unit. they even had a little van with a red star on it ^_^ then there was a group of people who wanted to be waffen ss

Edit in response to necro, it is extremely expensive.

And that game in that video looks awesome. reminds me of a place we call Nam Field. and GOOD JOB banning no bio-degradable bbs

my problem was that if you get hit you can pretend you weren't hit.

It's hard to do and fairly risky. Normaly, given that most Airsoft guns are automatic, you will be hit several times or not at all, and that will be obvious. Other people will hear you getting hit, they will also see you, as will the person fireing at you. 50% of the time you'll get hit several times on bare skin and it'll fucking hurt, meaning you'll probably want to get out of whatever hole you're hiding in pretty fast. Rapid jerks or whatever are a good indication that someones been hit, and if you dont shout "hit" you'll be in trouble..

If you lie, and get seen "not taking hits" you will be banned from all sites, forever. There are also, always, undercover marshals there to find if people are doing just that, along with hi-viz marshals.

Most people are regular as well, and it will quickly become obvious if someone is a regular cheater.

There are very few rental kids, it's not like paintballing, it's more of a cult sport. People don't want to cheat, if you don't take hits, other people wont, and then there's no game anymore.

Airsoft is the greatest :) i only get to go once in a while. And the best part is getting to shoot at all of those rightwingers with my automate kalashnikov ^^

I have an airsoft gun (a glock 18 or something like that) that I bought from Japan (the Japanese ones in Japan don't have the "red-tips" as other air-soft guns, at least in the U.S., might) years ago...but it broke. :(
