Cooler Reds Will Prevail

Welcome to the site!!
There's a thread in Practice/Propaganda on how beginners should get involved, I definitely recommend checking that out.
Otherwise, what you want to do is find revolutionary organizations in your area that hold views that resemble your own. Don't worry about finding one to dedicate yourself to so quickly, just try to use them to get active and learn the terrain a little bit. Finding a good group to work with is kind of like dating, you have to play the field a bit until you find a good match :-). If you can't find any organizations online or whatever, check craigslist events for political stuff going on in your area, and look for revolutionaries at those events. If that fails, maybe research some groups that you have commonalities with and ask about meeting with someone and starting a new branch? A lot of times organizations will have people living in cities where they aren't established, so you may be successful there*. If you still have no luck, I'd recommend soliciting some help from people on the boards for how to start your own organization.
I'd also try to get on e-mailing lists of groups you find in your area, generally they'll publicize demos and shit.
A lot of it is going to depend on your location and your "tendency", i.e. Maoist, Trotskyist, Anarcho-Syndicalist, etc... Are you near any big cities?
I'd be more than happy to help with anything, feel free to shoot me a PM. Hopefully other people can give some insight as well.

If your internet provider gives you access to Usenet newsgroups, subscribe to misc.activism.progressive and alt.activism . Many organizations post announcements about activities.
