i'm not sure if this would help us unite or help our enemies find us more easily but i propose that someone (it'll probably end up being me) start compiling a list or database of what regions we have komrades in and how to contact komrades in those regions. (sort of like a revleft phonebook). it would help traveling komrades find other komrades more easily without looking for those pesky litte red flags in gardens(lolz) . sort of like a networking tool just in case. but i'm not sure if its worth it so plz give me inputz.

Call me paranoid, but the idea makes me a little nervous. I think maybe the region and the email address would be good, but beyond that... I'd be worried about who might end up with it.

I'm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Any comrades wishing to do political work with me in this town... well, PM me, I'm on this forum practically every day.

On a side note, I certainly do not have little red flags in my garden! No, I much prefer the more tasteful approach of trimming my shrubs to make them look like busts of Lenin's head. :p

that's all that I would ask for. region and one method of contact. I mean why be nervous. ooooooohhhhhhhh he's a communist! attack! if teh F3d's wanted us they'd be all over this forum taking our IP's and bustin' down our doors. so what is there to worry about?

What would this be used mostly for?

But what if Nazis browse this site or even the CIA? What then? :crying:

samofshs
8th July 2009, 06:35
these would be used as a networking tool because i'm sick of vacationing everywhere and not knowing who is on my side and not being able to meet up with my local komrades. and i'm sure weve all travelled not knowing who's on our side b4.

also, who fucking cares if the cia finds this? do you know how big their file prolly is on us already? do you know how many of us they are monitering? fucking all of us! BOMB! BOMB! ALLAH! now they are watching THIS thread TOO! because i put in those keywords and on the keyword list i'll bet you are some of our favorite vocabulary! so what are they gonna do? fucking e-mail us? aahhhh!e-mail from capitalism! aahhhh! so what if the nazi's get it? what are THEY gonna do? h8 e-mail us?

srry 4 teh rant. im just a little stressed l8ly

It's ok. Go ahead and rant. :) I can just be a little paranoid sometimes.

samofshs
8th July 2009, 06:47
you know what happens if your not paranoid enough tho'? those cuban spies summed it up nicely. I'll leave your imagination up to that.....
anyways, any suggestions on how to go about this ppl?

Manifesto

I think it is a good idea though maybe a little dangerous considering there may be Nazis looking at it.

I think it is a good idea though maybe a little dangerous considering there may be Nazis looking at it.

This was my concern. I don't give a shit about listing my email address and city, but I would be a little edgy about listing my address. Again, call me paranoid, but there is a neo-Nazi organization in the town just south of me and I'm one of a very small number of Jews in the area...

That is a really fucking awesome idea and at the same time a really fucking terrible idea.

I don't want assholes from stormfront looking at were I live.

How about we PM our details to a commie club member. Then if anyone's traveling they can contact the CC and get the appropriate details for wherever they're traveling to.

Manifesto
8th July 2009, 09:41
Seems to be the only solution since that can be dangerous but having to PM it would make this sometimes a hassle and would make it less known.

A list of individuals would suck ass. Even if i'd ignore Nazis and Cops seeing the list, i still honestly wouldnt want random leftists to contact me. Just because other people identify as left too, does not mean i want to hang out with them in private. If you want to meet leftists around the world i suggest 3 things:

1) Check out the Political Organisations Thread (http://www.revleft.com/vb/political-organisations-t27951/index.html), check out if any of those are in the region you are going to and contact them. They can tell you about political events in the area, which is a better way to get to know leftists.

2) Check out the Upcoming Events (http://www.revleft.com/vb/upcoming-events-f49/index.html) in the Area.

3) If you want, tell people here where you are going and if they live in the area and want to meet you, tell them to PM you. Or just PM people that you know live in the area and tell them to meet up.

Its better to expand the threads mentioned about, than to make lists, no matter if open or just open to the cc.

how much do you bet they are not monitoring them but are monitoring us?
and besides, what the fuck do you care if a nazi gets your e-mail address? what the fuck are they gonna do with it? send you hate e-mail?

That's all very well, but I bet my topiary Marx is vastly superior. Although, I do understand your problem - Marx's facial hair can be terribly tricky to recreate.

Sure they would send hate mail, but if they really wanted to they could also seek us out according to the infomation recorded.

so make a yahoo address for this with your name being aaaaabbbbb and your phone being 1(234)-567-8910. heck, yahoo thinks my name is fidgeto welbleroo and that I live in alaska with no telephone.

I think this idea is fucking terrible.

If I'm travelling I have made enough friends and networks from Revleft to meet up with people without the help of some Redwatchesque "list".

Presently, I am a happy coward. I don't want who I am to be known, thus the name on this forum being only recognizable by my middle initial at the end of my name.

We really don't need any more maps showing where we are.... hell, everyone knows Washington state kicks ass anyway....

Yeah, I am a nationalist... "death to the outside washintonians"...
please, relax a bit man

I say this because during the McCarthy era, McCarthy declared Washington the most communist influenced state. Washington state is created by borders created by a river, field ownership, and an agreement between two capitalist countries, giving me great reason to think myself, a native of Queens New York, superior to the Canadians, Oregonians, and everyone else in the world.
That was sarcasm, since you have a bit of trouble picking that up clearly.

This is an awful idea in my opinion. Not only that, but if it would ever come into fruition it breaks forum rules about personal information

I think it could be useful for us, i'd like for example to be able to know all the comrades in the UK and be able to e-mail just the UK members in order to organise meet-ups, see who can help who with whatever they need, like support etc

I am thinking to set up a website with another RevLeft member (maybe more) as I know a few personally and may want to ask other UK members if they would like to write articles for the site etc

Though I do agree that more info than e-mail and location could be dangerous.
