View Full Version : Visiting a Country
Manifesto

Can somebody recommend a country that would be good to go to? I live in America and was wondering where to go (like Europe or South America). I recently have gotten an opportunity to go anywhere that I want with this contest I won (my aunt is a flight attendant n gets a discount for family or something and she does this contest of whoever gets the best grades in the family gets a free trip).

Considering you're American, it's hard to say. Americans don't seem too well liked unfortunately due to the Bourgeois idiots who run your country. :(

Yeah most of the world hates America and since I do I doubt Cuba is much an option so that I could see it for myself and have people shut up about it being poor.

Yes, being an American, Cuba wouldn't be an option for you. I could have been in Cuba now though through a school thing. Too bad I was broke... :(

Yeah I remember you saying that. Pretty costly trip though for high school. The most expensive one for my school is to go to Costa Rica for a few weeks and its like $1,500 or something.

Well actually mine was about $1,200. It was still cheaper than the trip I took to Europe. Anyway, if you decide to go to Europe I would recommend Germany or Italy(haven't been there yet, but want to so bad!)

I suggest Japan, I went there (Tokyo, next time I want to see other cities) once and it was fascinating.
If not go to Barcelona.

How old are you?
(this helps with answering a question).
I wonder if going to somewhere like Barcelona or Paris would be worth doing when so young.
Go wherever you want. Isn't there any where in particular you'd like to go?

If Europe.... I would recommend Italy, Spain, or France. All the people I know who have went there loved it.
If South America.... I would recommend you to go to Argentina, Chile, or Bolivia, or of course Venezuela. All the people I know from those countries say they are beautiful.

If you like warm climates check out Panama. It's a nice place to vacation. Alot of native culture if you go to certain areas.
Kuna Indians have a intresting way of life.
I'm not really a travel agent, so you should be google's friend for a while.

Before leaving, stick a Canadian flag sticker on all your bags. Then go to Germany. That place is AWESOME.

if you come to germany or denmark, everybody will jump to help you with sleeping and everything what you need. they have good opinion about USA or they dream to come there so they will give you sleeping in order to have place in USA if they come there. if you like sun, then south europe/america/etc is better. if I have money, I would visit venezuela, chile or bolivia. europe is racist shit, it is good only if you are from old EU countries or from USA. they are equal between themselves, the rest they don't like.
I think latin america is with much better mentality than this "blue blood old europe imperialists".

I fully agree. I loved Germany. Fascinating history! Too bad I wasn't really there for long enough to see it all though. :( Oh well I plan on going back eventually...

Funny you bring that up because I was considering the same thing. My friends say that in ten years I'm going to be living in Germany. lol

Have you been to Germany? It's probably a good idea to visit and see if you like before moving.
If you're still adamant about not visiting a country you might want to live in then go visit Spain and/or Japan.

Munich is the place to go.
Edit: It's really close to Salzburg and other small cities, has fascinating history, and has a lot of fun stuff to do.

Yeah Lisa and then Homer just takes a giant American flag and starts waving it around and acts like a jerk.
South Africa is like Texas with better scenery.
Most industrialized parts of Africa would be good, you can live comfortable in Nigeria (well, outside of the Delta) for something like $500 a month.

I would have to say Germany would definitely be memorable. It was for me. Plus you get to see the history of both sides if you tour the entire country, Nazism and Communism.

I went to Brazil earlier this year, and am returning at the end of this year. Lots of vary cool places to visit, very cheap and lots of partying. I know in Australia, a lot of people just get really really drunk when they party, but in Brazil people aren't so stupid.

He's only 15 so I don't think he'll get to do much partying. Just thought I would point that out.

I would party if I had the choice but since the drinking age there is 18 and my aunt has to come with me I doubt I could. I will try to be able to go wherever though and in Germany at least I could get away with beer and wine (wine is okay but I hate beer) and what I do like (vodka and rum) is not legal until I am 18.

In Germany soft liquor is legal at 16, but you'll have to wait until 18 for the hard stuff. So unless you're fine with just drinking beer and such you may want to find a different country.

No like I said before I HATE beer. Certain wine is good though but I like the hard stuff because I like the way they taste.
