Bit long-coming form the media, for reasons i imagine we all can fathom. But finally they've laid to rest all these BNP-esque claims that immigants get housing at the expense of non-immigrants.
Immigrants 'don't top housing list':

Housing 'not favouring immigrants':

This argument is a powerful one for the fascists, so powerful in fact in 2006 the BNP won 11 seats in the borough of Barking & Dagenham (east London) by playing this card. They claimed the council had a secret scehem called 'Africans for Essex' which gave African families up to £50,000 to get a home in the area 0_o. They have since used their 11 councillers to BLOCK THE BUILDING OF MORE COUNCIL HOUSES in the area - in a clear attempt to further the housing problem in the area and maintain their grip on the people of that borough.
