It was at a powwow organized by white people.
So the drummers decided to "show" them a sacred song.

Powwows are pretty cool though, at least the real ones rather than the fake ones organized by white people.

Well one organized by white people is still real although natives usually joke around at them.

I'm told that although non-Americans usually hate Americans because we are such jackoffs but they love Native Americans for some reason. I think its our culture.

Ugh, that shaky short clip featured nothing but retarded superstition and bad singing.

superstition?
also isn't "retarded" a unacceptable word on this forum?

Talking to an object like a wall, stone or a river as if it where a person with agency is superstitious in my books.

And I don't think my use of the word retarded can be interpreted as a jab against people with disabilities. It as different meanings and nuances depending on usage and context that should be clear for anybody to understand.

Well actually it was a joke.
But as for the talking to river, offering tobacco, etc. etc. that is Native American culture.
some choose to follow it and some don't.
I offer tobacco and smudge myself when drumming.
I think by calling my culture "retarded" you very likely
quoted one of the "founding fathers".

Well then you should reform an secularize your culture. Salvage what is good and throw out the bad. That is what I intend to do with mine. Fx. there is an Icelandic poetry resitation tradition that I'd like to cultivate more, continue and take inspiration from - but intend to leave off the stupid aspects - rhymes with bad subject matter and such.

I'm not american btw so I'm not up on the "founding fathers", much less am I able to quote them off the top of my head.
