The QSFA (Quick Service Food Alliance) which is a grouping of corporations such as Mcdonalds ,Burger King , Subway , the Bagel Factory etc and IBEC (an Irish Employers Union) have allied together in attacking laws that protect young people in Ireland and their agenda and success is shown by a recent court ruling by a judge in Athlone.

Supermacs was brought to court for over 20 breaches of protection of young people in employment laws, all perpetrated at the expense of a 16 year old girl who worked very late hours. Unbelievably, the judge dismissed the case for no legal reason with Supermacs getting off scot free. We can’t rely on anyone but ourselves to stop this rotten agenda of the establishment – young people need to get organised and fight back as a matter of urgency!

Their will be a picket on July 25th In Cork(at 1 pm) and one in Dublin on July the 3rd.

Any comrades who will be around on those dates are encouraged to come and fight against these attacks on the pay and conditions of young workers .

The picket in Dublin will take place at IBEC's office at 4:30 Friday July 3rd . More details on the Cork protest will be posted when I have the information.
