It's just something I rarely hear, so it's different. Plus, It's got an amusing name.

I mostly play guitar (metal)(6 years) and I also play bass (4 years)(prog, punk, rock).
I can play almost any genre on either, but what I listed is what I usually play.

It's the best thing ever.

I am a violinist/guitarist/keyboardist. I have an anarchist punk group as well as a solo folk and ambient electronic projects respectively

I was thinking of trying to get an irish style punk act together. (Communist Irish punk <.< )

But sadly all the other musicians I know don't want to do it =[
It's rather depressing actually.

OH! And I may be getting a traditional Chinese Erhu soon, I found one in a pawn shop for 120 Dollars Canadian. No idea how I'm going to learn to play it.

Might steal my moms accordion and learn some Russian stuff too, it's looks tricky though, with all those buttons...

I play.. the computer.
Plus the accordion, for probably little less than two years, but unfortunately due to the hassle of my moving I haven't picked for a few months and it won't be arriving in the country until August. After it does though I'll start seriously practicing again.
Besides that, my musical outlet is the computer.
I also sort of play the guitar, but I haven't played it seriously for a few years now.

What programs do you use for music on the computer? I'd like to try and make some electronic stuff but I dont really know where to start.

I'd join! lol.

Im too anarchist for Communism. Maybe Anarcho-Communist? That is where my beliefs lie. My libertarian socialist punk group is called "Goals and Visions", and my Ambient/Computer Music/Avant Garde project is called "Solid Blue Silence"

Try Fruity Loops for beats, otherwise buy a synth, im into analog

I'm mainly a fiddle player, and I've played with a few folk bands here and there. I can also play the tin whistle to an acceptable-ish standard. I've a battered old mandolin sitting in a cupboard somewhere which I'm meaning to pick up, but I haven't got around to it yet.

Klezmer music is amazing by the way. I've got a few CDs by the Klezmatics, and some very old 78s I inherited from my Jewish grandmother.

I use Fruity Loops. I've tried lots of other ones but that I've always found is the best, once you download good plugins for it.
It's the easiest to use for 'beginners' too, because of it's piano roll (before anyone says, I know others have piano rolls but FL is by the best).

I dabble in hip hop production. I can make decent plain, generic beats but I hate those so I usually wind up making something shitty but pushed me personally.

Electric and acoustic guitar and some songwriting.
I played loud in the past years, now I don't really have time for new bands, so I just settle with some acoustic improvisations late at night.

You can check out some of my amateur stuff over here : my Youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/punisa)

One thing I seriosuly lack is a more decent microphone. For now I use that cheap cheap crap you use for messenger and Skype, so yeah.. the recordings are pretty bad

I've been messing around using Fruity Loops to produce music for about 2 years. I mainly dabble in trance and more commercial stuff. I used Abelton recentley and its an amazing program so i'm hoping to get a copy of that.

Also I Dj so I guess the only 'instrument' I play are the turntables:lol:

I play the mandolin (mostly klezmer and some irish stuff)

We must make babies!!!!!!!!!:tt1: Seriously!? You not only play the mandolin, but you play fucking klezmer?!! Ich hob dir lieb!!

Anyway...
I also play the mandolin, and I also play klezmer, in addition to traditional folk, and whatever I happen to improv (which is my general style). My grandfather gave me an old (and I mean old) bowl-backed mandolin when I was sixteen or so, and I've been obsessed ever since.
I also play the banjo (folk, no country), guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and keyboard. Having already mentioned folk and klezmer, I also play blues and jazz, improv being the most natural (and thus most preferred) style of playing.
My mind is wired irrationally and I have an intuitive propensity for music and a good ear, but I cannot for the life of me read a single goddamn note. However, I've never found this to be any sort of impediment to learning to play; on the contrary, I can pick up on a new instrument very fast.
At some point in my life, I want to make up my own instrument and construct it. It may never happen, but.... 'tis a dream.
