Susan Cadogan is one of my favourites. There's only reggae in my brain for the last many months, and there's very few female reggae singers, really.

I love Courtney Love's voice, I just hate that *****. I also like 7 year *****, I'm from Seattle it's a rule.
Has anyone ever heard of Mia Zapata ? She was in a local Seattle band called the Gits, they were starting to get really popular before her death. She died in 94 about the same time as Kurt Cobain. What happened was, she was walking home from a show they played with MudHoney at the Crocodile in Seattle when she was grabbed and dragged into an alley. There she was raped and murdered. 9 years later (about a month ago) they tracked down her killer all the way in Florida. The investigation would have been closed years ago if we hadn't protested like 3 times a year when they'd try to close it.
The reason I wrote all that is because the Gits are an amazing band that should be checked out if you get the chance. I think they're releasing some stuff in celebration of catching her killer.

I hope that someday 7 Year ***** get back together!!! It would be so great. They are all in different kick ass bands- so at least we could still hear them.
Wasn't Mia good friends with the *****es? I remember reading an article in which they discussed a good friend of theirs getting murdered.
Urban Rubble
30th May 2003, 23:05
Ya. Mia was friends with everybody around the scene. Kurt Cobain and her almost dated back in the Bleach days. That's one of the reasons not alot of people knew about her death, because Kurt died shortly after.
