What do you think abou them?

If you don't know 'em, let me tell you a thing or two. They're claiming to be socialists, which I believe they are. Once in radio interview the lead singer of Manic Street Preachers was asked if he actually meant anything be what he was singing. Is this real or is it just something you say?
The lead singer took a barbers knife (Don't know the word) and cut the words: For real! in his arm...

They also were the first band from a capitalist country to play in Cuba...

It was not the lead singer who cut his arm, it was Richey James. He wrote most of the lyrics on the first albums.

The Manics are incredible. Without doubt the most intelligent band in the world today. They once played a song on Top of the Pops with the lead singer, James Dean Bradfield, wearing a balaclava, and a massive (and I mean fucking huge!!!) sickle and hammer as a background.

I dont mean to be arsey about this but it wasnt during a radio interview, it was during an interview for NME with Steve Lamaq. Also Richey used a razor blade not a butchers knife and he carved '4 REAL' not 'for real'.

The thing for me about the manics is that they really don't give their opinion about matters until they're asked. They do things cos they want to not for publicity. The Cuba tour was amazing to watch. The crowd were completely up for it. James is an absolute master. He is clever with his music. I am adamant that Richey is out there messing around with a guitar and will return with the most masterful album ever!

You have to get "Gold Against The Soul" The Manics' older stuff is cooler than the new stuff. I was extremely pissed that they missed the fantastic ending off "You Love Us" from "Forever Delayed", as they do in the videos. And where the hell was "Let Robeson Sing"!!!!!!

As for Richey, Jackmond, i dont think he will ever return but i do hope that he is still alive and well out there. You have to remember that he suffered really badly form deppression and anorexia, i dont think he would cope if he were to come out of hiding

I don't really like any of the new stuff and thought the "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours" album was not to my liking.

My favourites are: "La Tristesse Durera", "Socialist Serenade", "Faster", the long named "If White America Told the Truth for One Day it's World Would Fall Apart" and "The Masses Against The Classes", said song making up part of my signature.

Sean Moore for best drummer in the world aswell!!!! Nicky Wire is a damn fine bassist too
