This Saturday will see the National Front demonstrating openly against the Gay Pride march through London when thousands of perverts subsidised by dozens of lefty bodies will be camping it up through our nations capital. The NF are mounting the strongest counter demo possible. The NF is calling on all members and supporters and all London Nationalists to be in the Regent Street area of the City at around mid-day. Still, it would be a clearer sign of LGBTQ pride if the community not only marched down the street, but took the fight to the fascists this year, afterall, what better way of showing LGBTQ pride than smashing those who attempt to quell it ;)

I don't think you understand how irrelevant the NF are.

Confidence will mean fuck all. They will have a handful of people in a pen behind police lines. This is for sure. This wont be some big daring scary march of thousands of fascists. They will probably have more flags than protestors.

I don't think we shouldn't do anything but its not as though we really need too do anything either. The last time the NF did this, unsuprisingly, it pissed off a few gay people on the pride march. Do you not think that maybe the gay people will have this one covered? Seeing as there are thousands of them? Seeing as they dealt with it in Brighton?

Personally I don't think they need us to fight any battles for them. They will see a bunch of closet dwelling, frustrated morons with a few placards talking about 'perverts' and will laugh, heckle them, etc. You wont even be able to hear the NF over the noise of the march, and you'll hardly be able to see them behind the police lines. If anything happened, I don't think the LGBT folk would just stand there. Not that anything will happen.

I don't see what you can really envision the left 'doing' so urgently. I think it'd be good if anyone who could turned up if they could, if they are in the area, but this really isnt Cable Street and the NF are not anything worth getting worried about. Their last anti-gay event got 13 people on the streets, and they took a beating from the pride marchers. So cool it.

So yeh basically chill out. I think what you seem to be missing how this is an NF demo against a gay pride demo, which thus means there will already be opposition to the NF, in the form of thousands of LGBT people.

The showing was a fucking joke. They stood just outside of the crowd looking absolutely bloody miserable. They recieved general jeers, blown kisses and mockery. I can't imagine a bigger waste of time for them; their cause could have been served better if they had just stayed at home rather than sending (all?) 12 of their members to stand around looking like utter berks in the baking heat.
