Note to mods - I am a leftwinger (a proper one, not a liberal), and heavily influenced by revolutionaries. However, I do not have a position on revolution. First and foremost I believe in furthering the class struggle from below. If revolution is to occur I believe it must be the result of organic processes in society which allow the working class to coordinate its development (also that this would be the easiest way to revolution). It is the task of activists to awaken these processes. I find that an explicitly revolutionary line impedes this task, by looking impractical and turning people off. So I don't take a position on revolution, though in many situations I would support one should it occur.
I posted here to be on the safe side - if I belong in the proper forums, please move this thread. Cheers.
I have recently started a blog on political topics and would appreciate discussing the ideas expressed in it. I would also be grateful for any advice on how to manage and get the message out for a left-wing blog.

I think it sounds like you have a revolutionary outlook but won't support just any old revolution that comes your way, and I don't think there's a problem with being discerning.
However, you might want to take the link out of there and just put it as your "website" in your profile, because you're technically evading the preventative measures by putting a link up before you've reached your post count. I'm pretty sure avoiding forum regulations that have been put in place for a reason is frowned upon here.

You could say that, though I do consider the possibility that revolution may be impractical.
Sorry about breaking the rules, I assumed they were just a formality to keep spammers out.

Good blog--this thread will get trashed most likely because it's all about you you you--but pay no mind--you'll do well here. Again welcome.

How do you feel about micro loans as a tool for third world development?

I've been without internet for a while. Cheers for the welcome. Seeing as no one has told me I'm restricted I'm gonna post something in the propaganda & practice forum, with a more general focus.
Microloans for third world development? Obviously there are situations where it would do good - i.e. a village community getting a loan which allows them to get their own MOP which is owned communally allowing them to avoid wage labour, thus developing stronger mutual aid institutions, consciousness etc. Equally obviously it has the gnarly trapping people in debt side. I don't oppose it, but dont think its remotely sufficient, think there are much better development strategies, wouldn't spend my time/resources on it and think propagandistic advocacy of it is generally a bad thing.
