If that is the most disturbing it gets, then I must truly be quite hardened. I think its possible to make much, much, much more creepy bosses.

Ultimecia is the most disturbing and mindfuck bosses I ever had to face.
Oh, how about the final boss in Half Life? You are playing in the enviroment you not used to at all.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica has one frickenish boss, a queen which the body of the hive and tentacles. Ohhhhhhh man that was hard.
how about Super Mario World final boss, you have to constantly move and jump or your dead!

In Earth Worm Jim, there was one that used puking as an attack. I find such things quite creepy.

I always found the bosses on Splatterhouse 2 quite disturbing.

Oh, how about the final boss in Half Life? You are playing in the enviroment you not used to at all.Whats disturbing about teleporting around to fight a giant foetus in chains that telepathically whines at you? I always found G-Man the creepiest character.

I've never played portal, but GladOS looks pretty mental.

EDIT: Back when I used to play games a lot more, this is the one boss that sticks in my mind, not because its disturbing, but because Seven Force was awesome in gunstar heroes. It was an early boss but one of the most difficult in the game without a doubt:
